Windmill Roadhouse

Fantastic food, good service. Still the best slap chips around. Very busy this time of the year, December, so parking was a bit tight. Waiter was very friendly and they stock Pepsi. Win all around.

The old school convenience of placing an order from your car: nothing beats it. The service is so fast & friendly, the food is fresh and yummy, that includes boneless wings:) great venue to enjoy from your car. You’ll appreciate it even more on a rainy day.

My firmed and I visited Cafe Neo. It was my first time but nit my last. The seafood platter we had was amazing!!! Beautiful place with a great view of the ocean!

Everyone has their own favourite Windmill meal, for me, nothing beats the chilli chips. You park and they come to take your order, which makes the whole experience easy and relaxed. Service is always great, portions are generous, and it’s consistently good every time. A Windmill stop is always worth it.

New and updated review. The burger was absolutely perfect. Nice ocean view parking spot. Not a safe area so keep your doors locked and windows up. We ordered 2 Dagwood burgers and 2 large cheesy jalepeno chips. The chips were good but had nowhere near enough cheese sauce. The chips arent oily. (Steers cheesy chips beats windmill , and roco-mamas cheesy-chips rank first place) The burger was perfect in every way. Super juicy , nicely toasted bun, perfectly soft egg, delicious bacon. When i took my first bite there was an explosion of flavor. The service was great. As we drove in , someone handed us our menu. He was patient , helpful and friendly. I highly reccomend eating at windmill roadhouse. It was a fantastic experience. (Remember to give them a tip when you pay, the server was so thankful it seemed as though nobody ever tips.) Old review below (from March 2024) below: I reccomend Windmill Roadhouse Food: Overall I enjoyed it I ordered a dagwood burger with chips. No seasoning on the meal but they do provide you with salt/vinegar/tomato sauce. The burger patty was very dry. The egg was overcooked and rubbery (likely because it was a delivery - Windmill not at fault) The bacon and onion on the burger - juicy, flavorful, delicious. The chips had good texture, not oily. (I removed the egg and patty, and after that it was divine) Service: Delivery was fast. Approximately 15 minutes The lady on the phone with whom I placed my order accidentally gave the delivery guy the wrong room number, but he called me and sorted it out. Delivery guy had a great attitude. Price: Dagwood burger with chips R110 Cost of delivery is R25 (very affordable) (plz tip delivery guys) I've ordered food from Windmill Roadhouse afew times. I'm usually more harsh with my reviews but from my past experience I know their food is good. (The dry patty reminds me of Macdonalds, obviously they are pre made. Personally not my cup of tea but other people might enjoy it.)

if any business survives 80 years, you know they are doing things right. The Windmill is an institution and if those walls could talk If possible, try spending time with Phytos or Andrew, the stories behind this place is fascinating. The food is scrumptious, everything, difficult to pick any favourite, everything is absolutely delicious (ask about the "cup-and-a-half" bacon, you'll see ...) . No skimping on ingredients, fresh, tasty and very high quality. Great atmosphere, friendly faces and service. Ideal place for whole family
